Dear Friends of WPRB,
First and foremost, we hope all you independent radio fans are safe and healthy. Over the course of the past few weeks, much like many groups, WPRB has faced unprecedented challenges during this time. We wanted to send out a message about the current state of the station and how everything’s going. To ensure the health of all our DJs (and to abide by NJ state law), we decided it was the best choice to suspend in-person track spinning in March. Since then, the PRB management has worked hard to get real DJs back on the airwaves. We are excited to announce that starting Wednesday, May 6th, WPRB will be back on air with real DJs! We are calling this the WPRBack to Broadcasting Week and it will feature a number of brave DJs who are excited to share their tunes. We have a great group of DJs who are excited to spin their records in the safety of their own homes. Stay tuned on our social media to get the details on who’s going to be on when!
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has interfered with our annual fundraising drive, when WPRB gets donations from folks all over the world that keep the station running. We wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our donors that are helping us continue to deliver great programming to our listeners. While we know that times are financially difficult for all, we ask that you consider a small donation, either one time or monthly, to WPRB to help us keep delivering great community radio.
We are incredibly thankful to our great group of donors and we invite you to tune in and celebrate the continuation of vibrant community radio.
Long live WPRB,
The WPRB Student Board
