Exuma Exuma, The Obeah Man Exuma Mercury 1970; Macfarlane Gregory Anthony Mackey, AKA, Exuma, was a Bahamian musician, known for his almost unclassifiable music: a strong mixture of carnival, junkanoo, calypso and ballad. Obeah is a system of spiritual and healing practices developed among enslaved West Africans in the West Indies. Exuma was in fact a Obeah man, a medicine man.
